The Platonic Solids are named after the ancient Greek philosopher Plato, who believed that these sacred geometrical figures represented the fundamental building blocks of our universe. These five shapes were thought to represent the five basic elements: earth, air, fire, water, and ether.

Acrylic paint on found paper, torn and hand-stitched to dyed cotton.
